SKINSINK brings artists and T-Shirt lovers together. Our goal is to provide upcoming and established graphic artists, street artists and illustrators a platform to display their work on exposed fabric: the T-Shirt.
All designs are curated, exclusively available in our online shop and the artist gets paid with every sale we make. Enjoy the ride.
We take greatest care when selecting our t-shirts, and, since they are unisex they fit all genders. They need to be super cosy and durable while also being eco-friendly. Not an easy job but we think you will love them as much as we do.
We chose Unisex Bella Canvas, a t-shirt that is produced in California with some of the most strict EPA regulations. The dye process is adhering to the highest level of environmental compliance, and, everything is monitored to eliminate waste. All fabric gets reused in other pieces and even energy. Their process uses seven times less water than the average clothing manufacturer. Most other manufacturers use from nine to 20 gallons of water per pound of fabric whereas Bella Canvas only uses three gallons of water per pound fabric. During an average week, they are able to save up to 24 million gallons of water.
Top-notch technology uses the right amount of dye to make sure it is all getting used and none of it ends up in nature. The dye is bluesign certified, which guarantees they are eco friendly. The water is recycled and reused rather than being dumped into the rivers or oceans.
And it does not end there! Bella Canvas also takes every opportunity to reduce CO2 emissions and by doing that they have their sewing and cutting facilities run completely on solar power. All the buildings at their headquarters are equipped with motion sensors LED lighting, which uses nine times less energy than traditional lights.
Responsible work environment
The T-Shirt production process adheres to ethical, humane and lawful working conditions. Bella Canvas, our T-Shirt producer, is WARP certified and is committed to maintaining and upholding responsible workplace and environmental stanrds.
The WRAP certification process takes into account: human resources management, health and safety standards, environmentally friendly practices and legal compliance including import/export, customs compliance and security standards.
We want to give back to our community, people and the environment. That is why we support good causes by donating a portion of our profits to charitable organisations. We do this through betterplace, Germany's largest donation platform. They support over 20,000 projects from all over the world, ranging from children's aid, environment or animal protection to education or development aid projects. Betterplace is fully transparent and doesn't profit from the donation as supporters can separately donate to support their efforts.
